The final step before your pet's spa day is confirmed! On the Checkout screen, you'll review all the details and securely complete your payment.
Reviewing Your Order
Before paying, you'll see a complete summary:
- Pet(s): Name and breed of each pet being groomed.
- Services: Selected packages and add-ons with individual prices.
- Groomer: Your assigned stylist (or "Any Available").
- Date & time: Appointment date, start time, and estimated duration.
- Subtotal, tax, and total: Full price breakdown.
If anything looks wrong, use the "Edit" links next to each section to go back and make changes.
Applying Discounts
Promo Codes
- Click "Add promo code" below the order summary.
- Enter your code and press "Apply".
- If valid, you'll see the discount reflected immediately in the total.
Gift Cards
- Click "Use gift card".
- Enter the 16-digit gift card code.
- The available balance is applied to your total. If the balance doesn't cover the full amount, you can pay the remainder with a credit card.
Service Packages
If you have prepaid service packages (e.g., "5 Bath & Brush Bundle"), they'll be shown automatically as an available payment option. Select the package to redeem one session.
Payment Methods
- Saved cards: If you have a card on file, select it for one-tap checkout.
- New card: Enter a new credit or debit card. You can optionally save it for future use.
- Pay at salon: Some salons allow "Pay Later" where you settle the bill at checkout. Your booking is still confirmed.
Deposits & Booking Fees
Some salons require a deposit at booking time to secure your slot. If a deposit is configured, you'll see it during checkout:
- Flat fee deposit: A fixed amount (e.g., $20) charged immediately to confirm the booking.
- Percentage deposit: A percentage of the estimated total (e.g., 25%) charged upfront.
- Deposit credit: The deposit is applied toward your final bill — you're not paying extra.
Deposits are non-refundable for late cancellations or no-shows, per the salon's cancellation policy. Check the policy link on the checkout page for details.
Expedite & Rush Fees
Need your pet ready sooner? Some salons offer an Expedite option during checkout:
- Toggle "Expedite Service" to prioritize your pet in the grooming queue.
- The rush fee (typically 20–50% surcharge) is shown before you confirm.
- Expedite availability depends on the salon's current workload — it may not always be available.
Split Payments
For larger orders (e.g., multiple pets or premium services), you can split payment across methods:
- After selecting your first payment method, click "Split Payment".
- Enter the amount to charge to the first method.
- Add a second payment method (another card, gift card, or package credit) for the remainder.
You can combine credit cards with gift card balances or prepaid package credits in any combination.
When Are You Charged?
You are NOT charged at booking time. When you enter your card during checkout, we place an authorization hold (not a charge). The final charge is processed only after the service is complete, reflecting any adjustments the groomer made (e.g., matting surcharge, additional add-ons requested on-site).
Confirmation
After clicking "Confirm Booking", you'll see a confirmation page with:
- A confirmation number you can reference when calling the salon.
- An "Add to Calendar" button (Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or iCal download).
- A confirmation email sent to your registered email address.
Security: All payment processing is handled by our PCI-compliant payment partner. We never store your full card number. Transactions are encrypted end-to-end.
