Adding & Editing Pets

Your pet's profile is the heart of the app. It helps our groomers understand your pet's needs, calculate accurate pricing, and ensure a safe, personalized experience.

Adding a New Pet

You can add a pet at any time from your dashboard:

1. Go to the "My Pets" tab.
2. Click the large "+ Add Pet" card.
3. Fill in their key details: Name, Species, Breed, Gender, Weight, and Birthday.
4. Click "Create Profile".

You can also add a pet during the booking flow! See Selecting Your Pets for details.

Editing a Pet Profile

Did your puppy grow? Did you adopt a new nickname?

1. Navigate to "My Pets".
2. Click the "Edit" (pencil) icon on the pet card you wish to update.
3. Update the information and click "Save".

Uploading a Photo

We love seeing your furry friends! To add a profile picture:

1. Open the pet's profile.
2. Click on the camera icon over the avatar placeholder.
3. Select a photo from your device (JPG or PNG, max 5MB).
4. Crop if necessary and save.

Archiving a Pet

If a pet is no longer with you or has been rehomed, you can archive their profile. This keeps their history safe but removes them from your active booking list. Scroll to the bottom of the Edit Pet page and select "Archive Pet".

Troubleshooting

• Can't find the "+ Add Pet" card? Make sure you're on the "My Pets" tab. If you've reached the maximum number of active pets for your plan, you may need to archive an unused profile first.
• Breed not in the dropdown? Start typing to search. If your pet's specific breed isn't listed, select the closest match or choose "Mixed Breed."
• Photo won't upload? Ensure it's JPG or PNG format, under 5MB. Try cropping the image on your device before uploading.
• Accidentally archived a pet? Go to "My Pets," toggle the "Show Archived" filter, find your pet, and click "Restore." All their history is preserved.
• Weight or breed seems wrong during booking? Update your pet's profile before your next booking — sizing and pricing are calculated from the profile data.
